Looking to her Irish roots, Stacey Wall’s final collection for her Central Saint Martins BA found its basis in Seventies folk groups - drawing particular inspiration from silhouettes and shapes of outfits worn by different local groups - as well as traditional craft and textile processes.

HANNAH WALLACE
MENSWEAR DESIGNER
Menswear designer Hannah Wallace won the Graduate Fashion Week Gold Award in 2015, standing out because of the innovation and imagination she showed in her designs. Inspired by the uprising of rioters against the government and astronauts, and the necessity for both to wear garments that act as a protective second layer of skin, she developed her collection using interactive and breathable materials constructed to be flexible and allow for capacity. In addition to her own work, Wallace has freelanced as a design assistant for Topshop and Topman.

DANIEL CRABTREE
MENSWEAR DESIGNER
Daniel Crabtree looks to subvert the classics of menswear design, whether through the deconstruction of detail, fabric or shape. He recently completed an MA at Central Saint Martins, where he culminated his course with a collection full of boyish charm but, in his own words, that had something rather old man about it. His design methods are informed by the process- driven approach of Eighties fine artist Christopher Nemeth and combine a resourcefulness of reusing materials and freehand pattern cutting.

MATTHEW DUFFY
WOMENSWEAR DESIGNER
Middlesbrough-born designer and recent Royal College of Art graduate Matthew Duffy examines a feeling of not fitting into the heteronormative culture of his hometown and the dichotomies within his own upbringing in his work. In particular, he looks to the gender performances of his mother, who is of Anglo-Indian descent and competed as a pageant queen, and his brother, a footballer for a local team, recontextualising both a football kit and pageant sash as the basis of his graduate collection.
